Because I have nothing to do to help them in their upcoming success but just blogging abouOpen Source Day, Mansoura Logot it, I should raise it up for Open Source Day in Mansoura, which will take place in AlHawwar Club, the place where the first WordCamp in Egypt took place. So on Saturday 15/10/2011, and exactly at 10 O’clock, be there, I can guarantee you will totally enjoy the day, I have witnessed the spirit and the amazing effort done in the organisation and still going from the very back scene. Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 64bit and DestroyTwitter

Post by: bingorabbit

Recently, I had a lot of problems with Fedora 10 x86_64, so I decided to move to Ubuntu, exploring this great operating system to have some new experience on anothafter more than 3 years of fedora!

I should tell, Ubuntu is really great, it’s fast, and really lite. I had no crashes since I installed it; really stable and everything is working smoothly!

I had a problem with the Desktop Effect, I couldn’t enable them by deafult, it used to tell me “Desktop effects couldn’t be enabled”, this was fixed by reloading Compiz Window Manager, and I did so through fusion-icon, simply right click on it and click Reload Window Manager, it will be better too if you became more sure by reselecting Compiz as your default Window Manager, and this can be done through fusion-icon too. you should also be sure that compiz itself is installed.
