How @twitter is *possibly* making money!

I have been wondering lately about how twitter actually get money, at least for its employees’ salaries. I have never thought about it, till I got that question from Eslam Mahmoud (Hunikal). Have you ever thought about it? How it can really get revenue with even with no ads? Some Updates 02

It’s just one day and 3 hours, I will be having my last college exam, a Distributed Database one, it’s a very strange feeling actually.

I will be on vacation for almost 24 hours – as the last update from Dr.Hesham that we will start on Sunday, the daye after the last exam – or so after the exam and then all my time will be dedicated to our graduation project. We recieved the RFID reader and tags and we tested it and got it worked on Linux and Al-7amdolelah everything is going smooth.

Oracle aquired Sun, Oracle and MySQL

It was all spreading yesterday all over everywhere that Oracle did aquire Sun, for others and impressions I have seen on twitter or facebook, people were wondering, what will happen to Java. But this post will really discuss another point, which is MySQL!

When Sun aquired MySQL, we all said that the upcoming version of MySQL that will be released by Sun will be slightly differrent and really powerful. But it seems that Sun just didn’t have time and Oracle is gonna complete the MySQL way. Web developers specially and all working on MySQL databases, were wondering what will happen to MySQL. Almost 75% of the web servers on the web uses such great database engine. How would that deal affect MySQL and will Oracle stop the MySQL development prcoess? – I have heard that they really have a great team of developers in the MySQL team. (more…)
