Job Hunting – Interview Date

Although most of people hate such term, Job Hunting, I kinda feel it’s just ok, may be through my belief that what has been written for you, will just happen, and what ever might happen, is just fine. But, considering such status, “Hunting”, you come to a lot of questions, and I would like to share it with you for others who might feel really lost trying to answer such questions as a guide, may be one day someone will really find his dream job, using after reading this post!

Consider, you have posted your CV in a lot of places, and HR reps. started calling you day after another, but you still can’t figure out how to organize your dates and appointments for interviews. What would you do if the HR representative asked you “Can you come one the next xDay?” and you know that on this xDay you won’t be free at all, would you say:

1. “Sorry, I’m not free on that day, can we postpone it to the next yDay?!”
2. “Sorry, I won’t be able to come, I quit” and quit the job before you are even hired.

This is actually came to my mind after I had the same situation, when I found myself postponing an interview for 4 days or so and the HR representative simply answered, “Ok, gonna call you before that day and set another appointment” then I just thought he didn’t like what I have just said, and he secretly said “Who do you think you are?! Next!”

I asked my wife who said “It’s ok, they will call :)”, my  friends

Is it mean to tell HR rep. who called me to set an interview that I’m not free on this date and if can we postpone to another one?! Advice!
