For me, I was amazed when I found that Google Chrome now has plenty of themes around that you can make the look and feel of such great browser elegant and shiny. But, it’s just 5 minutes ago when I found that you can add extensions to Google’s amazing web browser, Chrome. Unfortunately, this is only available to the development version of Chrome, or technically speaking the Chromium Project, on which Google Chrome is built. Because recently, I have felt that Firefox is really SLOW, especially when you start adding some add-ons to it, I started using Chromium on my linux box, and I should really say that I’m impressed with how fast and reliable the browser is, although it’s still a beta version.

So, to see a list of your installed extensions, add some, or uninstall any, in your Chromium address bar – yes, Chromium not Google Chrome -, type:

chrome://extensions/

You should then see something like this

Chromuim Extensions

Chromuim Extensions

If this didn’t work with you, this means that extensions are not enabled for the current running instance of your Chromium, you can enable it, by adding

--enable-extensions

as an attribute to the executable file that launch Chromium, on my linux box, I didn’t have to do so, because it was enabled by default. Logically, you won’t find any extensions there, you can surf the web searching for some, I have found some samples also on Chromium’s Website I really love Gmail’s one, I was looking for something like this. You should be really careful with extensions provided from third-parties, because extensions can bite!

For sure, you can make your own, here is a cool guide to make you first extension. I have some ideas in mind, and I would really love hearing from you if you have more ideas to be implemented.
