Yesterday, we have announced WordCamp Egypt’s Schedule. It has been a very long time deciding and discussing sessions, and how it will serve the audience on the big day. We have been thinking a lot about which levels our audience might be, and we have been trying our best to present sessions from extreme beginners to highly advanced developers/designers and bloggers.
The day will start by the keynote, which will be introduced by Jane Wells. Talking about WordPress, and Automattic, actually I have a lot of questions to ask her, about life at Automattic, and how does she feel being there. Some introductory sessions will take place just after, both prefixed with “Getting Started”. The first; “The Environment”, being introduced by Mohamed Safwat, one of the most active and innovative people I have ever seen. Talking about the environment WordPress work on, PHP, MySQL and Apache, the whole web server concept and definition.
Then will come Ahmed Mas’oad, Getting the audience Started with WordPress itself, installation, and a breif history about the system. Both sessions are recommended for beginners, you will totally find it useful. Even if you are ain intermediate or an expert, you will be helping us with your information, so it’s really recommended for all.
Reem has chosen an interesting topic actually, talking about the most ever used and featured top 10 WordPress plugins. It’s really an excellent idea and for sure it’s recommended for all, you will know more about these plugins and how to use them. An hour for the coffee break, just having some rest, and getting your feedback, this will help us in the next coming sessions and Egyptian WordCamps in-sha2-Allah.
Two exciting sessions will be after the coffee break, one I will be presenting, about how to develop your first wordpress plugin and what you should know and some links that will help you. I will talk breifly on how to contribute to WordPress development, so the session targets developers as a main concern and everyone else interested to know about WordPress plugins and development.
Al-Sayed Fat’hy will then introduce how to create your own WordPress theme, the template tags and how your theme should look like and the theme’s structure files. If you are w WordPress designer, and want to know more about how to code WordPress themes, this session is made for you. I’m one of those who are interested to attend this session especially as I’ve a lot of requests from my clients asking for themes, so it will really be interesting.
I really wish to see you all there, it will be a great day in-sha2-Allah, May Allah help us and bless the event with success.

it will be an amazing day ISA
Ya Rab, because if your efforts, it will be great in-sha2-Allah..
