Just before I go.. (Part-2)

As stated before, this series is all about a dream, I wished to come true, and I know one day it will, may be tomorrow, or after 10 years, but I have faith it will. After CAT Scope 3, CAT was a legend, we were said to be a revolutionary students, after being laughed at for being formal in that event, we became those who people started to point at. Even the college’s professors were there for us, especially as I remember Dr.Abed Nasr, and Dr.Moustafa Saleh. By chanse CAT Scope 3 was just before our exams with almost a month, so once we were done, we had to focus on our study to complete the picture that those guys, were not just wasting their time, but do excel in there eduacation. I remember that my grades this year was really cool (Very good as I remember).

The vacation started, we started our first series of courses, An Introduction to Networks by Ahmed Abdallah, 3Ds MAX by Hasanien and Ehab, some hardware course by Hatim Mohamed. actually all those courses were with no reference to the old CAT, we which was considered lack of our decisions, as we became a team that provide only courses to audience and here the “client-server” model started to be applied, the audience were the client and we always were the server that provide the courses service.

What I really need to show you here is howour resources looked like. I remember that this was Ahmed Abdallah’s Machine, we carried it daily from his home to the course’s place usually 111 hall, and to let you do a simple comparison between that and what we have now! GUYS WE HAVE OUR OWN DATASHOW!!!!

I also need you to notice the look in the audience in that time, and how do they look like now, and I should mention that for only 1-2 months we ere audience too, but in the next event took place, which was “About us”; we were presenters. We weren’t so good, but we had the passion and the motive to try, which I really miss in the most of CAT members and even its managers nowadays. And in the same time I should give a lot of appreciation for those who do their best till today.

    I was talking about the SAAAAAAAAME subject when I visited CAT-H4cK3rZ live coding Session in the last few minutes to find only 7 members responded including Medo ..!

    Ahmed was totally disappointed ..!
    But deeep inside me I feel like we had a great sprint .. we just need to work more offline in UTC and I’m so optimistic about using lab resources at our sponsors..

    Please, everyone watching this post make a prayer for all the founders who made that glory.

    One last note: I look like snap in these pictures ..!!

    ta7ya CAT 4 ever :)

    really el CAT changed our lives and we learned a lot from it’s community and take a lot of experience and good friends .

    and as you mentioned we have many good resource that allow us to work harder and harder ,but i don’t know why we move like turtle !

    and why we don’t have usual CAT Core Meeting :)

      The whole thing is about you, and that you always wanted to learn more, we could have done nothing if you didn’t have the motive already, so we should thank you for being so.

    the history of CAT ,really interesting series of posts to show us wut we missed .
    but wut a number of attendees in those photos ?
    why don’t
    we have that number nowadays? ,
    as gamal mentioned we were 7 @ the live coding issue
    @ UTC ,and it is the same number that usually attends sessions
    except in scope ,so why ?!
    the guys in those photos gave alot for CAT ,and we the “nowadays CAT members”
    have to give also .

      The spirit, it’s all about the spirit and the motive, those guys in the pictures now have positions in a lot of enterprises in Egypt. They wanted to learn as much as they can, and in the same time had the motive to collaborate in CAT Events. I really miss those guys. :)
