With my AnGel, Friends and Colleagues we went yesterday to Cairo ICT, one of the most enourmous events that happen in the field here in Egypt. We met at 8:00AM, which was really early compared with the time we took off. The bus had no ability to play MP3 players which was the first problem we met, after we tried for 1 hour or so, we reached a dead end. We finally took of, stayed calm for while, then stuff went MAD! Singing, dancing clapping and shouting, even playing estimation all that took place on the road to Cairo. We reached the fair at 1:00PM or so and that was unsatisfying at all!

Coming to the technical part, I just need to say that whatever you have in your place, and you call it a PC is not. Hewlett-Packard (HP for short) yesterday gave us an amazing demo and ability to test their new All-in-one-PC, it’s an LCD with an Operating System installed (unfortunately it’s vi$ta). 3ayez a2ol en Eman kanet betshedeni mn 2odamha!!! They have provided it with all technical specs you might need, and 22 display screen which is the one available in Egypt. It costs 14,000EGP and we found it at Virgin Mega Stored in CityStars later with 12,000EGP only.

Another company in the fair, “SMART”, I wondered why their place looked like that. It just contained some datashows and board, normal ha? but I found some people holding markers – actually digital markers – and just painting on theses boards. With AWESOME interaction between your hands and the board and very fast responose it was a greaaaaaaaaaat experience! I started to play with it texting some stuff :D , and the whole fair was looking at me. When it comes to playing, in the same place for SMART, there was a table with a 40*40cm glass shield on it, I just asked what is this, when the managers replied, “It’s a 40 point multitouch screen”! I was playing with my AnGel, biko, Sameh, Enas (AnGel’s Nephew) on the same screen, puzzles and other similar stuff, where you can do everything with images and texts, rotating, enlarging..AWESOME! Psycho, you need to rethink.. :)

Other stuff where familiar to me browsing the internet, like Cannon cameras, BENQ datashows. One of the “BEST” places I visited yesterday in the fair, is TE Data’s, WHAT A GREAT decoration they have done, I will post a photo for it soon, bas bgd fe3lan their place kan gabbar, they went back to the classic view, LinkDOTNet did the reverse thing by being so modern like usual.

Then we went to CityStars, we didn’t shop, we just looked aorund. We stayed at Costa, had some Mocha, which I always told Eman about, it was great us usual :), then we had another round and went to the bus, on our way home.

That was the day in brief, I enjoyed being with my AnGel a lot, and the guys were really great, kano mabeysada2o yes5ano ya ged3an :D. We might be having another one but to Alex soon, so stay tuned. :)

PS: I forgot to mention that today I got my and Eman’s first term results and Al7amdolelah, we succeeded :)
