A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG NIGHT!, and at last…

One of the most confusing thing that is related to phpBB styles and modifications, is that when they release a new modification, that have something to be done with the styles - and that always happen -, they release the installation steps on the default style - which in my case is prosilver -. So, when you need to install a new modification, and you are using another styles that’s not the default, you will have to implement how you may write the code in the template files. In another words, you will try to find the differences between your style and the default one and try to comprise between both. I started doing so, and I was sure of what I’m doing, cause one default style uses divs and dls and mine uses tables - haven’t they heard of tableless?! -.

I was installing the global announcements mod, which shows the topics that are marked as global in the front page under a category called “Announcements” - or it’s what is supposed to be - , but it showed up as “Forum” :wtf: , changing language files, installing the style and editing the files again and again but nothing happens. I ran to the mod’s support forum, when I found un-related issues to my one, but while searching I found that after installing a mod, you HAVE to go to the Styles tab and refresh the Style’s template, theme and imageset files, if you have changed any of them. A try and another :wtf: , it worked?!..yeah it worked..

I still wonder why did they created it that way?!..wala ana elli et3awedt 3ala el wordpress?!

Update: You may also need to clear your cache files, Just Click the “Run Now” Button, beside “Purge the Cache”, under the “General” tab in your Administrator Panel.

Exams are finished, somehow I’m satisfied, except for Measurements, other than this, el 7amdolelah kan makbol ela 7aden ma. Today is the first day at the mid-year vacation, I had an AMAZING day with my AnGel, thanks sweetie for the GREAT day, really great one!!! . Sure I slept all evening long, I woke up at 03:10AM, I still need to sleep, but I switched my PC on - Forget it! - . I started with depiak, really I’m concerned with this foundation, I intend to make it the best, just before this year ends up. I categorized the forum, set permissions, added the style and by now psycho is creating the banner, it should be something fascinating as we need a BOOMING start!..

I have to sit down alone for while, just to plan for my vacation, I really have A LOT of stuff to learn, some of them I have been working on through my exams and others to be introduced for the first time. The most common factor that they are all related to web, something about development and little about design - yeah, design, but in a coding style -. So, tomorrow will be a long day, sure I’m gonna sleep, then when I wake up, I will book an appointment at my doctor, who I had to go to 2 weeks ago, but exams. Then, when I come back, I may hang with the guys for while, or I may have some work to finish, just before I get a paper and a pencil, writing down every single thing I need to learn in this vacation. Add to this depiak activities, that will be really time consuming this vacation, but what needs to be done, have to be done!!

2007 was a GREAT year, I admit, I have learned a lot of stuff, achieved a lot of my targets, started to build my career and for sure the GREATEST EVENT EVER,my engagement to my AnGel :) , THANKS ALLAH !

In the new year, I’m really feeling optimistic, I have a lot of plans to work on, A LOT OF NEW STUFF TO LEARN!!..Keep checking the bLOG, to know more about my future plans, my achievements I hope..
